FAAN Elevates Nwosu-Igbo To General Manager’s Position
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has elevated Mrs. Ijeoma Blessing Nwosu-Igbo to the position of General Manager, Public Affairs.
An electronic document made available to journalists by the Directorate of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection of FAAN confirmed the appointment that took effect from June 2024 following her resounding success in the mandatory management promotion examination.
Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo has steered the affairs of the Public Affairs department of FAAN over the years, managing the image of the organization with deftness and dexterity that has positioned the country’s airport management agency as a leading one in Africa.
Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo had served in acting capacity in her position since December 2023 having distinguished herself for over two decades following her sojourn into FAAN in 2002 as a Senior Public Affairs Officer on grade level 10.
The 1987 graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Calabar, Cross River state in 2002.
The versatile Public Relation practitioner and a member of the Nigerian Institutes of Public Relations (NIPR) is a prolific writer who has continually advanced through the ranks, gaining extensive on the job experiences as well as undergoing numerous professional training both locally and internationally.
Nwosu-Igbo’s love for singing and choral performance has seen her performed locally and overseas as her writing prowess has seen her oversee the in-house publication of FAAN, the NEWSTRACK as its Managing Editor since 2018.
