Women In Aviation: Glowing Wings Hosts Girls In Aviation Day 2024

Glowing Wings today welcomed students from Queens College and other schools to explore careers in aviation.

According to Mrs. Evelyn Njoku, General Manager, Public Affairs at Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the event featured the Glowing Wing, a symbol of women’s achievements, and inspiring talks from female pilots and engineers.

A highlight of the day was the students’ visit to the control tower at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at air traffic operations. Through hands-on workshops and flight simulators, the students were encouraged to envision themselves as future leaders in aviation. The Glowing Wing shone brightly, reminding every girl that the sky is hers to conquer.
