What The SWRATS 2024 Will Do To The Aviation Industry, By DGCA
The Acting Director General, Civil Aviation, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Chris Najomo says the South West Regional Transportation Summit 2024 held yesterday at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos “will make an invaluable contribution to the Civil Aviation Master Plan currently being developed and accelerate the achievement of both domestic and international goals. By enhancing operational efficiency, financial stability, and service excellence, we will create tremendous value for all stakeholders.”
In his welcome address delivered by NCAA’s Director, Airspace and Aerodrome Standards, Engr. Godwin Balang, Najomo said: “This summit reflects our commitment to realigning our strategies and approaches in fulfilling our constitutional responsibilities, especially as it relates to the strategic initiative of the Honourable Minister, and indeed, Mr. President. We trust that the outcome will signal a new era of inclusive regulatory practices, fostering sector growth, safety, service excellence and improved passenger experiences.”
He further said the theme of the summit, “Repositioning The Nigerian Aviation Industry For Financial Capability and Economic Viability: An Inclusive Regulatory Dialogue,” is designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders.
“We must therefore strive to address service deficiencies and poor passenger experiences, stemming from inadequate funding,” he said.
