TAAG Angola Airlines, Turkish Airlines Renew SPA Cooperation At IATA AGM

TAAG Angola Airlines and Turkish Airlines have renewed their Interline and Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) during the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting held in New Delhi from 01–03 June 2025.

The renewal was formally signed by Mr. Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, CEO of TAAG Angola Airlines, and Mr. Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, reaffirming the longstanding cooperation between the two carriers.

This agreement will continue to support seamless travel options for passengers connecting across both airlines’ networks, enhancing connectivity between Africa, Europe, Asia, and beyond. In addition to the renewal, both parties engaged in strategic discussions exploring further

collaboration opportunities.

Topics included the potential launch of a codeshare partnership, cargo cooperation, and technical assistance in areas such as maintenance and flight operations. The CEOs agreed to establish regular dialogue between the two airlines with the aim of deepening bilateral cooperation and

unlocking new synergies for mutual growth.

This renewed partnership marks another step forward in strengthening global connectivity and delivering greater value to customers through enhanced service offerings.
