TAAG Angola Airlines Receives Fifth Airbus A220-300

TAAG Angola Airlines has received its fifth Airbus A220-300, registration D2-TAK, at Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (NBJ), further advancing its fleet renewal and modernization programme, in line with the company’s 2024–2029 Strategic Plan.

With a total capacity of 137 passengers, the aircraft features 12 business class seats and 125 economy class seats, offering high levels of comfort and convenience to enhance the overall passenger travel experience.

The Airbus A220-300 also stands out for its operational efficiency, with lower fuel consumption compared to previous generations and a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions, complying with the best practices concerning aviation sustainability.

These aircraft have been instrumental in strengthening intra-African connectivity, linking Angola to multiple cities and regions across Southern, Eastern, and Western Africa served by TAAG’s network. The integration of this aircraft reaffirms TAAG’s commitment to continuous investment in fleet modernization and empowers the company vision to become a leading carrier in Africa.
