SAHCO To Provide Ground Handling Services To Rano Airlines In Abuja
Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has won the contract of providing Passenger, Baggage and Ramp Handling services to Rano Airlines at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
SAHCO will be handling four flights a day in Abuja daily. Rano Air is a licensed Airline, incorporated in 2019 with aim to make domestic and international travel management more personalized and seamless. Their hub is in Abuja.
Bashir Abdullahi, Rano Air Head of Ground Operations said Rano Air is happy to sign the contract with SAHCO. He emphasized that SAHCO was chosen over competitors because the Ground Handling Company has proven to be the best in Ground Handling in the country.
SAHCO is the only Ground Handling Company in Nigeria that is in all the commercially operated Airports in Nigeria. This feat and quality of service has enabled SAHCO to attract and retain confidence of both existing and new airlines due to the seamless, safe and speedy service delivery which SAHCO is known for.
In recent times, many foreign airlines have moved their aviation ground handling operations to SAHCO to enjoy being handled by dependable and devoted workforce who are well trained and whose integrity is undoubted, delivering their activities in line with global best practices.
SAHCO has also invested in modern aviation ground support equipment (GSE) which operates on alternative power sources and are rugged to enable effective maneuvering in the Nigerian terrain. These GSE are also equipped with the technology to guarantee zero carbon emission to ensure the commitment of SAHCO to protecting the environment.
Among these is the first ever Cool Dollies which are used to convey temperature sensitive shipment from the aircraft to the warehouse to ensure that the shipments are not denatured.

Recently, SAHCO won Uganda Airlines Ground Handling Contract. Ugandan Airlines is the flag carrier of the Republic of Uganda and is flying from Entebbe International Airport in Uganda thrice a week to Lagos, Nigeria.
