Remi Jibodu Of BASL To Speak At 10th Airport Business Summit

The Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautics and Cargo at Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), Mr. Remi Jibodu, has been invited as a distinguished guest speaker at the upcoming 10th Airport Business Summit and Expo (ABSE) 2025.
The summit, a key convergence point for the aviation industry, is dedicated to addressing air transport concerns from an airport perspective. The event is scheduled to take place from July 15th to 17th, 2025, at the NIGAV Expo Centre, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. This year’s theme, “Investment Opportunities in Airport Public-Private Partnerships,” is particularly relevant given Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to enhance aviation infrastructure.
Mr. Jibodu is slated to deliver a presentation on the crucial topic of “Airport Public-Private Partnership: The Prospect and Challenges.” His session, scheduled for July 16th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, will include a 30-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A segment.
As a pioneer in airport concessions in Nigeria, BASL has a unique and compelling story to tell. For over 18 years, the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2) has stood as a testament to the successful implementation of a Public-Private Partnership model in the Nigerian aviation sector. This long-standing operational success positions MMA2 as a leading example of what can be achieved when private sector efficiency meets public infrastructure needs.
Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, Head of Corporate Communications at BASL says Mr. Jibodu’s insights are highly anticipated, as his address will provide valuable perspectives on navigating the complexities and harnessing the potential of PPP models in the aviation sector. Drawing directly from BASL’s extensive experience and MMA2’s proven track record, he will offer practical lessons and highlight the factors that contribute to enduring PPP success, making BASL a vital voice in the ongoing discourse.
The ABSE 2025 is expected to draw a high-profile audience, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, and other dignitaries such as State Commissioners of Transport, Heads of Aviation agencies, and Managing Directors.
BASL is committed to contributing to the discourse that will further develop the Nigerian aviation industry and looks forward to an enriching engagement at ABSE 2025, sharing its proven success model to foster future growth and investment.
