Overland Airways Reconnects Ibadan, Abuja Airports
Overland Airways has announced recommencement of flight services from Samuel Ladoke Akintola International Airport, Ibadan to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.
Effective December 23, 2025, Overland Airways will commence three weekly services from Ibadan to Abuja on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Abuja to Ibadan by 1030am and Ibadan to Abuja by 1200pm.
Chief Operating Officer of Overland Airways, Mrs. Aderonke Emmanuel-James said: “As the pioneer airline on the Ibadan route Overland Airways is excited to return to Ibadan to continue the excellent flight services we have provided to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Osun State over the past 22 years. We equally wish to congratulate the Government of Oyo State for the extensive improvement works at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola International Airport, Ibadan.”
Overland Airways will operate on the Ibadan route using its brand new 88-seater Embraer 175 aircraft, featuring Premium and Economy cabins. Ibadan International Airport was closed in March 2025 for upgrade of its facilities.

Overland Airways achieved the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Registration in 2015, which has been consecutively renewed in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2024. IOSA is a globl benchmark for enhancing operational safety of airlines. The airline operates a fleet of modern equipment and facilities to provide high standard of service.
It has a fleet of modern aircraft including the Embraer E-175 jets, ATR-42s, ATR-72s and Beechcraft 1900Ds. Overland Airways has taken delivery of two brand new fully-owned Embraer E-175 jets out of the six E-175 jets it ordered since the 2021 Dubai Airshow. The Order was worth USD285 Million, at list price, with all options exercised.
