NAMA Managing Director Declares Emergency On Power Challenges

Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk has declared an emergency on the power challenges that affect NAMA.

A statement signed by Abdullahi Musa, NAMA’s Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection says Farouk made this disclosure during the in-house inauguration/induction for the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers and Directors of aviation agencies held in Abuja.

He pledged NAMA’ s dedication to surpassing expectations, tackling challenges, and aligning with the Honourable Minister Festus Keyamo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative and agenda.

Engr. Farouk also accentuated NAMA’s commitment to enhancing communication in Nigerian airspace as he declared an emergency on power challenges, emphasizing that the agency had secured immediate government approval for the overhaul and modernization of the country’s airspace communication architecture.

Engr. Farouk reassured the public of NAMA’s unwavering commitment to optimal performance, with a focus on benefiting the Nigerian community. He stated, “The communication architecture of Nigerian airspace is now broadened, addressing issues that were prevalent before. We are dedicated to ensuring seamless communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.”

In response to NAMA’s request, the Federal Government has acceded to the overhaul and modernization of the communication architecture of the country’s airspace.
