Journalist’s Aviation Book Content Can Help Achieve Safer Skies, Says Former LAAC Chair
Former Chairperson of League of Airport & Aviation Correspondents (LAAC), Mrs. Roseline Osemudiamen Mustapha Adinoyi says lessons from the contents of the book titled NIGERIA’S AVIATION SECTOR: PEOPLE, BEHAVIOURS BEHIND THE PERFIORMANCES, can help to achieve safer skies if stakeholders learn from and adopt them.
Mrs. Adinoyi made this assertion yesterday while commenting on the book authored by Albinus Chiedu, the publisher of AVIATION MONITOR, Africa’s Most Informative Aviation News Portal
Receiving a copy of the book, she said: “I appreciate your efforts to bring more development to the aviation industry. Considering the title, I believe that the content is rich enough to guide aviation personnel in their daily duties so that the skies will be safer.”
The book is a product of comprehensive research featuring from a historical perspective, an advocacy for the right behaviours and conduct of individuals in both the public and private segments of Nigeria’s aviation industry, exposing the dangers posed by wrong decisions and actions on the next generation of aviation stakeholders in the country. The book is also a source of education to the travelling public on activities in the industry.
It equally recommends assignments for present and future Ministers in charge of aviation in Nigeria, which when executed, can better the industry.
It would be recalled that this 11-chapter book was launched on July 4, 2024 at Golfview Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos in an occasion that was graced by stakeholders in Nigeria’s aviation industry, including the Honourable Minister of Aviation & Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), who was represented by his Special Assistant on Service Delivery, Mrs. Janet Oputa, Dr. Gbenga Olowo, Chairman of Interguide Group and Dr. Oluropo Owolabi, former General Manager of Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), among other dignitaries.
