Banks Ready To Support Airlines’ Interline, Codes-share Deals, Sterling Bank Manager

The Tourism Business Manager, Sterling Bank Plc, Abiola Adelana says Nigerian banks are ready to support interline and code-share deals among Nigeria’s local airlines by ensuring instant settlement of funds across stakeholders within the sector.

Speaking at a webinar organized by Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI) with the theme, Utilizing Interlining & Code-share Agreements As Tools For Airlines Consumer Rights, Safety And Profitability, Adelana said the culture of collaboration and partnerships reduces cost and therefore, the banks were ready to provide payment terminal service aggregator, a means for mobile payment inter-parability to ensure receipt of funds across the industry, implementation of wallet as a service to airlines and aviation stakeholders for receipt of payments and deployment of payment gateway services.

“Nigerian banks are at the forefront of the drive to ensure prompt and reliable settlement activities within the aviation sector,” she said
