Bankole Bernard Emphasizes Importance Of Data In Aviation
The Group Managing Director of Finchglow Travels Limited, Mr. Bankole Bernard has emphasized the need for use of data in planning and decision making in Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Making his input at the 28th Annual Conference of the League of Airport & Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) held at Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme, Aviation Survivability Amidst A Challenging Macro-Economic Environment,” Bernard said the absence of reliable data is one of the major challenges of the sector, stating that without the use of data, the industry cannot develop as expected.
He also made a case for continuity in the sector. “Continuity is the only thing that can sustain our industry. Government needs to understand that their business is governance and not getting involved in day-to-day running of business in the sector,” he said.
