ASRTI Condoles With Aviation Reporter, Mrs Sola Adekola’s Family

The Board of Trustees (BOT), the Executive Committee and the entire membership of the Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI/ART) has expressed deep condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family, loved ones and professional colleagues of the late Mrs Sola Adekola, Tribune Newspaper’s Aviation Representative, who was laid to rest today, Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in Lagos.

A statement signed by Olumide Ohunayo, ASRTI General Secretary reads: “Her sudden death has left a void in aviation reporting and dissemination through her weekly column.

Mrs. Adekola was a veteran Aviation journalist of note. She was a strong ally of the ART on the matter of Aviation Safety in Nigeria and informative dissemination of same. She provided insightful information through robust questioning during interviews and also helped in the propagation of sound aviation experts’ perspectives  through  her media portals. She will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace Mrs. Sola Adekola.”
