ASRTI Advocates Deliberate Policy For Strong Airlines
The President of Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI), Air Commodore Ademola Onitiju (Rtd) says there is a need for government to develop deliberate policies that will address the challenges faced by airlines in Nigeria.
In his contributions at the Question and Answer Session of the 28th edition of the Annual Conference of the League of Airport & Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) held at Providence Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme, Aviation Survivability Amidst A Challenging Macro-Economic Environment,” Onitiju said the challenges of Nigeria’s airlines such as insurance, forex, fuelling and other challenges, were already known and that ASRTI had regularly offered suggestions through communiqués and press releases on how to address these challenges.
“There has to be a deliberate government policy to address the challenges of the airlines so that they can survive and get stronger” he said.
