Tunji Oketunbi Celebrates Age, Retirement @ 60
Pastor Tunji Oketunbi, the General Manager, Public Affairs, Nigeria Safety Investigation Board (NSIB) yesterday celebrated his 60th birthday and retirement from service in a colourful event held at NIGAV Centre, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
Accolades poured in from various dignitaries one of who was his boss, the Director General of NSIB, Engr. Akin Olateru. He described Oketunbi as an excellent staff of the organization who had contributed so much. Olateru said Oketunbi had been a strong party to the successes recorded by his organization.
Mr. Tunji Oketunbi practiced journalism with The Guardian Newspapers and covered the aviation beat for several years before he was appointed as General Manager, Public Affairs by former Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), now NSIB. He was also once Chairman,
League of Airport & Aviation Correspondents (LAAC)
Thanking everyone present at the event, Oketunbi attributed his success story to Jesus Christ and his wife, stating that he had trained himself over the years to deal with disagreements which could no longer weigh him down.
Members of LAAC and Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI) were present to celebrate with Oketunbi.
Among other guests present at the event were the clergy, aviation professionals ,family members and other well wishers.
