TAAG Strengthens Connectivity On The African Continent With Increased Frequencies

TAAG Angolan Airlines has increased the number of services on its main regional routes with the introduction of additional flight frequencies to Maputo (Mozambique), Cape Town and Johannesburg (South Africa) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo).

This decision aims to offer greater flexibility, convenience and connectivity to passengers, responding to the growth in demand for these destinations, facilitating connections and leisure or business travel between Southern Africa and Central Africa.

Flight frequencies from Luanda include Cape Town (CPT) increased from nine to 10 weekly frequencies, with twice-weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays;  Johannesburg (JNB) increased from seven to nine weekly frequencies, with twice-weekly flights on Thursday and Saturday; Maputo (MPM) from four June 2025 five weekly frequencies, with flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Brazzaville (BZV) flights increased from two to three weekly frequencies, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an updated departure time of 22:00 (Luanda local time).

TAAG says this measure is part of a wider plan to optimize the Company’s network and expand, with a multifaceted impact on sectors such as tourism, local economic development and cultural exchange, positioning TAAG as a benchmark in the civil aviation sector.

The airline reaffirmed its commitment to providing an increasingly efficient travelling experience adapted to the needs of its customers and passengers, strengthening its presence on strategic regional routes and contributing to integration and mobility on the African continent.
