Reclaiming Of NCAT Land: NCAT Commends Kaduna Government For Assistance
The management of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria has expressed appreciation to the entire management of the Kaduna State urban planning and Development Agency (KASUPDA) and the Government of Kaduna State, for their efforts and assistance in helping the institution to reclaim its encroached land, that has been trespassed into for over two decades.
A statement signed by Balarabe Mohammed, NCAT’s Deputy Chief Information Officer
reads: “After the excercise , 160 houses were affected. We also wish to express our gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El-Rufa’i, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police and all the security agencies that contributed in one way or the other in ensuring the recovery of our encroached land.
As you may be aware, the College of Aviation Technology, Zaria has been awarded the Regional Training Center of Excellence by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This achievement will go a long way in proving our determination to being the best in providing Aviation Training, as this will create a better atmosphere for aviation Training.
The College intends to expand the size of it’s runway to accommodate bigger aircraft in the nearest future. This can be used for not just training but even commercial purposes, which will in turn provide job opportunities to the Aviation industry and the Nation at large.
This will improve safety to the neighboring Community and also help the College in securing it premises against external security threat.
