NCAA Moves To Act On High Airfares
The Acting Director General, Civil Aviation, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Chris Najomo says the regulator has decided to set up a high powered committee to address the increase and high cost of air fares, “especially on international travels.”
Najomo said yesterday in a broadcast that already, NCAA had met with airlines, other agencies and stakeholders over the issue.
Following the weakening state of the naira to the dollar, air travelers have in recent weeks, had to pay millions of naira for economy class tickets to travel to Europe, America and even other African destinations.
