How To Maintain Effective, Sustainable Aviation Security System, By Pathfinder CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Pathfinders International Limited, Mrs. Nkechi Onyenso has highlighted measures that can help to ensure effective and sustainable aviation security system at the airports across Nigeria.
Speaking yesterday at the Quarter2 Business Breakfast Meeting (BBM) organized by Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI) at Golfview Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, Onyenso said there was need to maintain a multi-layered security to ensure that the air transportation system is effectively protected against any kind of terrorism and unlawful interference and “revise and refresh threat assessments regularly.”
She also said it was important to “endow the airports with the necessary resources for a proper and effective implementation of all security measures that mitigate the risks posed by the current and evolving threats to civil aviation” and “manage the local complexity based on the evolving threat picture, without compromising the baseline standards.”
