How NCAA Can Help Improve Airlines’ Service Delivery, By Aligbe

The Managing Director of Belujane Konzult Limited, Mr. Chris Aligbe has called on the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to restrict the number of routes that an airline with only two aircraft can operate to, as part of measures towards ensuring the airlines meet up with the service demands of air travelers.

Speaking during the panel discussion session at the South West Regional Transportation Summit held in Lagos by NCAA, Aligbe said customer satisfaction is very important and needs to be given a higher level of attention by the airlines.

He equally suggested that the term ‘operational reasons’, used by airlines as excuse during flight delays and cancellations should be defined clearly by law as has been done in parts of Europe, so that victim passengers can in cases of disappointment be empowered to check what airlines do.

He further stressed the need for NCAA to up their game in terms of enforcement of passenger rights violations by airlines.
