French Ambassador Invites Minister Keyamo For A Tour Of France’ Aerospace Hub
The French Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Emmanuelle BLATMANN has invited Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo to visit France and tour its aerospace hub.
A statement signed by Tunde Moshood, SA Media and Communications To The Honourable Minister says BLATMANN made the invitation yesterday when she visited Minister Keyamo yesterday to facilitate some strategic business proposals between France and Nigeria.
The French ambassador who was in company of Florent MANGIN, Economic Counsellor/Head of the Economic Department and Ludovic LEA, Deputy Head of the Economic Department told the Minister of her country’s special interest, especially in relation to Aviation technology, wet leasing, Airport concessions and air passengers’ experience in tandem with global best practices.
According to H.E Blatmann, the invitation is to afford Nigeria’s Aviation Minister a tour of France’ Aerospace hub in Toulouse for an international exchange programme with a view to strengthening links for an improved Aviation services.
“Honourable Minister, we would like to invite a delegation from your office, to Toulouse, the largest centre for aerospace in all of Europe and home to the European Airbus headquarters, the SPOT satellite, and the French space agency. The French Civil Aviation Authority and the Minister for Transport are willing to host you”, Her Excellency, the French Ambassador says.
The French ambassador also informed the Aviation Minister of other French multinational corporations like Racer and others who’re willing to partner Nigeria in related technologies as it concern passengers’ experience.
She’s also of the opinion that the Honourable Minister would enjoy a tour of French National School of Aviation during the visit, “the French Civil Aviation will be eager to show you around, most especially the upgraded air traffic control equipment as it relates to passengers’ safety.
While responding to the French envoy, the Honourable Minister told ambassador BLATMANN of his preparedness to explore all available offers to get the best for Nigeria. He however assured her of his willingness to work with the French Government, “we will be very happy to work with your government in as much as you’re bringing us those big aircrafts for our use”, the Minister poses on a lighter mood.
On a final note, Ambassador Blatmann expresses her country’s appreciation to Nigerians for their patronage of Air France/KLM services and also to the Nigerian authority on the trapped funds’ repayment plan so far.
