ASRTI Holds Investiture Ceremony For Patrons
Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRTI), Nigeria’s foremost Aviation Non-Governmental Organization has held an investiture ceremony for its Grand Patron and four Patrons.
The over 20 year old organization, held this investiture during its Quarter1 ART Business Breakfast Meeting held May 2, 2024 at Golfview Hotel, Lagos, under the theme, Manpower Strategy Training, Succession And Human Capital Development In The Nigerian Aviation Sector.
During the presentation, the President of ASRTI, Air Commodore Demola Onitiju (Rtd) said the ART stands for excellence in all human endeavours and that the patrons are the organization’s pillars of strength.
The Grand Patron is former Minister of Health, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prince Julius Adelusi Adeluyi, an iconic individual of multiple parts who is of royal descent whose second name is excellence.
One of the patrons is former Director of Flight Operations, defunct Nigeria Airways and founding member of ART, Capt. Oladele Ore, the King of the Sky whose name is synonymous with flying in the Nigerian Aviation landscape. In fact, he is a skipper for all seasons- the Learned Commander of Aviation Law having trained and qualified as a legal practitioner.
Dr. Olusoji Amusan is another patron, the great scholar, author, hospitality guru and an astute administrator through whose hands many of those making waves today in travel agencies and tourism in the Nigerian aviation sector earned their stripes. He is a former President of National Association of Nigeria Travel Agents (NANTA).
Dr. Harold Olusegun Demuren is in the list of ASRTI patrons; former Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), an eminent personality, a citizen of the world, Nigeria’s worthy ambassador to global aviation and a formidable regulator par excellence.
Among the patrons is a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Musa Adede, who is a veteran aviator and gentleman with a fine blend of business acumen, a part of ASRTI treasure.
