Air Peace Apologizes For Recent Flight Disruptions, Reaffirms Commitment To Reliable Service

The Management of Air Peace has apologized to all passengers who have been affected by the delays and cancellations experienced across some of our operations in recent days, expressing understanding of the frustration and inconvenience these have caused and deeply regretting the disruptions to travel plans.

A statement signed by Oluwatoyin Olajide, Air Peace Chief Operating Officer (COO) says the disruptions resulted from a combination of unforeseen circumstances, including an inadvertent false fire alarm that grounded one of our aircraft, adverse weather conditions that resulted in diversions, delays and, in some cases, outright cancellations, a bird strike that grounded another aircraft for days, technical issues requiring necessary mandatory checks and maintenance, as well as a delay in the availability of aviation fuel in some cases.

“While some of these circumstances were beyond our immediate control, we acknowledge the impact they have had on our passengers. Our focus is on managing these challenges responsibly, minimizing disruption and ensuring that our passengers are not left to bear the consequences of operational challenges.

At the same time, we wish to make one point unequivocally clear: Air Peace will never compromise safety in an attempt to keep to a schedule. In Air Peace, safety remains our highest priority. We will NEVER compromise the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft.

An aircraft will not be released for service until our technical teams and all relevant safety procedures are satisfied that it is safe to fly. Where weather, technical conditions, a bird strike or any other safety-related circumstance requires an aircraft to remain on the ground, that decision will always take precedence over operational convenience.

We are taking immediate steps to stabilize our operations, strengthen our contingency measures and improve our communication and responsiveness when unforeseen challenges arise.

Air Peace remains committed to providing safe, dependable and increasingly seamless air travel, and to earning the trust and confidence of the flying public. To every passenger who has been inconvenienced, kept waiting, had a journey disrupted or had to rearrange important plans because of these operational challenges, we sincerely apologize.

We deeply appreciate the patience and understanding of our passengers and the confidence they continue to place in Air Peace. We remain committed to giving you the quality, reliability and service experience you deserve,” said Olajide.
