Ethiopian Aviation University Graduates Over A Thousand Aviation Professionals

Ethiopian Aviation University has graduated  1053 professionals in various aviation fields including international trainees from 18 countries. Marking the trainees’ achievement, the university held a vibrant graduation ceremony at its facility, in the presence of Ethiopian Airlines Group Board Chairman His Excellency Let. Gen. Yilma Merdasa, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, executives and graduates’ families.

The graduates include 524 cabin crew, 293 aircraft maintenance technicians, 214 trainees from various Commercial and Ground Services fields, 41 pilots, and 8 Marshalling and Aerobridge Operators.

Congratulating the professionals, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew said, “We are delighted to witness young men and women from across the globe completing one chapter and beginning another in their aviation carrier journey. This is not just a personal achievement to the trainees. It is an achievement to the industry in Africa and the world. Today’s graduates are tomorrow’s industry leaders, and we are proud to take part in shaping the future of our industry through shaping the people who will run it.”

Showcasing gender diversity at the university, the graduates include 579 male and 474 female aviation professionals.

Ethiopian Aviation University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to both local and international trainees. It provides various aviation courses such as aerospace and hospitality, including BSc. degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Engineering, Aviation Management & Operations, BA degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, MSc degree in Data Science, and MBA degree in Aviation Management.

In addition to degree programmes, the university offers diploma and certificate programmes in aircraft maintenance technician, pilot, cabin crew and commercial trainings, leadership and career development, and catering training. The university also provides ICAO and online courses, ensuring comprehensive education and training for all aviation professionals.
