Lagos Government Promises To Implement Aviation Improvement Decisions Involving Lagos
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that his State Government is interested in the evolving activities and developments in Nigeria’s aviation sector, and is ready to implement aviation related decisions, policies and regulations that involve Lagos State.
Speaking at the 25th Annual Conference of the League of Airport & Aviation Correspondents (LAAC), held yesterday at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, the Governor, who was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho noted that a high percentage of air passenger traffic in Nigeria was recorded in Lagos, stressing the need for stakeholders to address the various challenges bedeviling the industry.
He commended LAAC for organizing such a conference at this time, with the theme, Nigeria’s Aviation Industry: Management, Policy & Regulation.
He also urged participants and stakeholders to come up with measures that could attract more finances and investments to the sector.
