Unrully Passenger Incidents Don’t Happen Only In Nigeria, Says Kuku

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku says the incidence of unruly passengers at the airports is happening not just in Nigeria, but in other spheres but that measures towards addressing the trend should be given more emphasis, as this is of more importance.
Delivering her Goodwill Message yesterday at the high-level Symposium on the Fundamentality of Aviation Security in Achieving the Safe-Skies Goal held in Lagos, Kuku said: “In our market as operators, we have seen unrully passenger incidents that have been recurring but it is not just in Nigeria. It is not just about the incident but what measures are being taken to address these incidents?”
She said the industry’s “commitment to reinforcing aviation security must be steadfast and adaptive in an era marked by evolving threats and rapid technological advancements. Through dialogues like this, where expertise, experience, and innovation intersect, we can collectively share strategies and frameworks that ensure safety without compromising efficiency.”
“Our commitment to this critical aspect of aviation will undoubtedly contribute to the safety and security of passengers, crew members, and the general public,” she said.
She commended the Director General of the NCAA for the foresight in convening this event
