A Presidential contestant of the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), Rev. Felix Agbonlahor, has promised  quality engagements with other aviation professionals and unions in the Air Traffic control profession to foster industry growth.

A statement by Agbonlahor, who is also the current Secretary of NATCA said he will ensure that the health and welfare of Air Traffic controllers becomes top priority, harmonized with the standards obtainable in other parts of the world.

Agbonlahor vowed to make Air Traffic control profession and professionals maintain and expand strategic advantage within the agencies.

The NATCA Presidential candidate said, discipline and professionalism will become the hallmark of the profession and that he will ensure ranks and orderliness is maintained within the system. He intends to give Nigerian Air Traffic controllers a strong voice and presence in IFATCA in particular and ICAO in general.

“I promise to continue to work diligently and purposefully towards every issue raised with the future members of the Executive Council”

Agbonlahor noted that the past six years has been a learning curve, days of facing the rigors with vigor, days of confronting seemingly insurmountable challenges, digging deep and making gains through pains, noting that there are more battles to be fought, more victories to be won and more territories to be conquered.

He further said he would be a bridge between different generations of ATCOs in order to give everyone a sense of belonging; listening and attending to both spoken and unspoken words erstwhile unheard; as well as recognizing potentials where others see despair.

“What I have done over time with your support is good and I will continue to strive to do better. What we do now will inspire our future. So, let us hold hands and make our association a greater one” he pleaded
