NAHCO MD Wants Export To Contribute To Nigeria’s Economic Growth

The Group Managing Director of NAHCO, Mr. Indranil Gupta says export of Nigeria’s agricultural produce can be made a viable source of Nigeria’s economic growth.
Speaking during a panel session at the FAAN National Aviation Conference (FNAC) 2023 held at International Conference Centre, Abuja under the theme, “Sustainability Of The Aviation Industry In Nigeria, Gupta said there was a need for strategy to translate Nigeria’s farm produce into globally accepted products, stating that “we should select a few products and work with government to create a strategy for pushing them into the international market. We also need to look at how we can put money into the pockets of the farmer. How do we incentivize the farmer to see export as a viable option?.”
He further added that “we need to be very careful in selection of items that we push into the international market.”
