TAAG Angola Airlines Signs Codeshare Agreement With LATAM Brasil
TAAG Angola Airlines has signed a codeshare agreement with LATAM Brasil for passenger transport services, enabling the integration of both airlines’ destination networks and strengthening connectivity between Angola and Brazil.
Through this partnership, TAAG passengers will benefit from expanded access to LATAM Brasil’s domestic network via São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), enjoying greater flexibility in travel planning, combined itineraries, and a more seamless connection experience between flights operated by the two airlines.
Codeshare agreements form an integral part of TAAG’s commercial strategy aimed at strengthening the airline’s customer value proposition by offering access to more destinations for leisure and business travel, facilitating the purchase of international tickets in local currency, and ensuring protection on connecting itineraries, including streamlined check-in, baggage handling, and passenger assistance services in transit.
LATAM Brasil is part of the LATAM Airlines Group, the largest airline group in South America, with domestic and international operations connecting multiple markets across Latin America, North America, Europe, Oceania, and Africa. The group operates a fleet of more than 350 aircraft, including Airbus aircraft for domestic and regional operations, as well as long-haul Boeing aircraft deployed on international routes.
With this initiative, TAAG further reinforces the strategic positioning of the Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (NBJ) hub as a connecting platform between Africa and South America, while simultaneously promoting regional mobility, economic exchange, and tourism development across the markets served.
Following the signing of the codeshare agreement with LATAM Brasil, TAAG customers will gain access to the various destinations in Brazil, including Aracaju (AJU), Belém (BEL), Porto Seguro (BPS, Brasília (BSB), Boa Vista (BVB), Bonito (BYO), Cascavel (CAC), Cuiabá (CGB), Campo Grande (CGR), Caldas Novas (CLV), Belo Horizonte (CNF), Curitiba (CWB), Caxias do Sul (CXJ), Dourados (DOU), Fernando de Noronha (FEN), Florianópolis (FLN), Fortaleza (FOR), Rio De Janeiro (GIG), Goiânia (GYN), Foz do Iguaçu (IGU), Imperatriz (IMP), Ilhéus (IOS), Juiz de Fora (IZA), Juazeiro do Norte (JDO), Cruz (JJD) , Jaguaruna (JJG), Joinville (JOI), João Pessoa (JPA), Londrina (LDB), Manaus (MAO), Macapá (MCP), Maceió (MCZ), Maringá (MGF), Montes Claros (MOC), Natal (NAT), Navegantes (NVT), Sinop (OPS), Pelotas (PET), Passo Fundo (PFB) and others.
In the future, the partnership may be expanded to include LATAM’s international routes across South America and North America, significantly increasing the geographical reach of TAAG’s commercial network.
