Angola’s NCAA Validates Appointment Of Iuri Neto As TAAG Accountable Manager

The National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) has formally accepted the appointment of Iuri Neto, TAAG Angola Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer, as the Company’s Accountable Manager (AM).

The decision follows ANAC’s review of the regulatory documentation submitted by TAAG, as well as an assessment of Iuri Neto’s professional experience and qualifications, confirming that he fully meets the requirements for integrity, technical competence and management capability established under applicable aviation regulations.

The role of Accountable Manager carries significant responsibility within the certification framework and operational safety governance of an air operator. In this capacity, Iuri Neto assumes ultimate corporate responsibility before Angola’s National Civil Aviation Authority for ensuring that flight operations and airworthiness activities are conducted in accordance with the required standards, that the Safety Management System (SMS) is effectively maintained, and that the organization complies with applicable national and international civil aviation regulations.

The Accountable Manager also has the necessary authority to ensure that the resources required to maintain TAAG’s operations and comply with the requirements applicable to the Company’s Air Operator Certificate are made available. The acceptance of the appointment, formally recorded in the official records of the National Civil Aviation Authority and in the organization’s manuals, constitutes formal validation of the eligibility and qualifications of the appointed executive to exercise this regulatory responsibility.

TAAG considers this decision an important milestone in strengthening its operational governance, safety and compliance framework, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to rigorous compliance with civil aviation requirements and to the continuous improvement of its operational safety standards. Iuri Neto will combine his responsibilities as Accountable Manager with his position as Chief Operating Officer.
